Our Little Lindi Solution
In 2022, Field & Stage embarked on the creation of the inaugural two-day Little Lindi Festival in Durham. With meticulous planning and attention to detail, the festival was designed to offer high-quality themed zones across the site, providing a unique and captivating experience for attendees of all ages.
Each area within the festival grounds was carefully curated to cater to a variety of interests and age groups. From den building and bushcraft skills to nature walks and funfair activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The diverse range of entertainment options ensured that families had ample opportunities to engage in exciting and interactive experiences throughout the event.
The efforts put into planning and organization paid off, as the festival attracted nearly 5,000 delighted family guests. This level of attendance was remarkable for a first-year independent festival, highlighting the success of the event and the strong appeal it held for attendees.
One of the key achievements of the festival was the effective management of crowds and activities. The careful planning and layout of the site resulted in minimal queues and congestion, allowing guests to seamlessly navigate between different areas and participate in activities without significant waiting times.
Despite the overwhelming success of the inaugural event, the challenging economic climate in 2023 posed obstacles for the festival’s future. Unfortunately, this meant that there was no second-year installment of the Little Lindi Festival. Nevertheless, the accomplishments and positive feedback from the first event served as a testament to the efforts and dedication of the Field & Stage team in creating an exceptional family-oriented festival experience.
